Frequently
Asked Questions
What
does it cost?
We
offer a variety of services. Guests can stay at our lodge for nightly
lodging with or without meals. This is convenient for snowmobilers or
self-guided hunters who want a place to stay close to the areas they want
to be near to for recreation purposes. Some folks bring their own food
or three meals a day are available for just $25 additional per person.
Our lodge facility is available for rent for groups who wish to reserve
the entire building for group functions, family reunions, and meetings.
We also offer Outfitter and Guide services for summer fishing and fall
hunting.
Cost
for rooms is $65/night for single occupancy and $70/night for double occupancy.
Meals are $25/person/day
for 3 meals. So, adding in meals, the cost is $90/night for a single occupancy
room and $120/night for double occupancy room. Sack lunches are included
in the price of meals for hunters. Rates for group activities will be
quoted depending on length of stay and number of people in the group.
Please call or e-mail for specifics. We accept all major credit cards.
Can
we just drop-in?
No,
we do not take drop-ins. Room rentals and guide services must be reserved
in advance. We are off the beaten path and you pretty much have to know
about us to find us. Our Lodge is located on our ranch in a very rural
area with our neighbors being surrounding working ranches.
Why
is there a 35% non-refundable deposit?
All our services are by advance reservation only. We are remote and are
not set up to accept drop-in guests. We must know in advance how many
guests we will have for meals and the activities for the week. Since we
do not have the opportunity to pick up last minute guests to fill in cancelled
bookings,
we must require this non-refundable 35% deposit upon booking.
Do
you serve alcoholic beverages?
No,
but you are welcome to bring your own.
Will
my cell phone work at the Ranch?
Reception
is fine at the ranch, but may be spotty in the mountains due to terrain.
This is a vacation, right? Hey, be a rebel and don't turn it on while
you're here! We have a phone at the lodge, but not in individual rooms.
(We'll gladly have messages waiting for you at the lodge when you return
from your day of fun.)
Can
we hold our family reunion at the Triple Peak Lodge?
We
welcome group functions and our whole lodge can be reserved for group
events.. We have 8 rooms and can accommodate up to 16 guests. Each room
can accommodate 2 guests. Please inquire with the specifics of your group's
needs and our facilities. Rooms with single beds can be converted to doubles.
What
are the rooms like at the Lodge?
The
History Ranch is designed like an old-style hotel from the 1800s with
eight guest rooms on the second floor. Each guest room is decorated with
a different theme. We have the Mountain Man room, Outlaw room, Cowboy
room and more. There are 8 guest rooms upstairs. Rooms have twin or double
beds. Rooms vary in size, but are not exceptionally large, as was typical
of rooms in the old hotels of the day. Each room has its own restroom
with shower/tub combination and toilet. The sink is located outside of
the bathroom in the main room. The upstairs also has a lobby area with
chairs and tables for relaxing and books for reading. There is a handicapped
accessible restroom off the living room area on the first floor.
Do
you allow pets?
Because
of the abundant wildlife, cattle, horses and working ranch animals on
the property, we prefer you do not bring pets.
What
do you offer for fall hunting?
The
Wyoming Range offers big game hunting for trophy elk, deer, moose and
antelope. During Hunting Season, October - November, hunters can
rent rooms only or rooms with meals at our lodge. We are located close
to the Wyoming Range Bridger-Teton National Forest in and near the following
Hunt Areas: Elk 92 & 94; Moose 24 & 25; Deer 142 & 143; Antelope
88, 89, 90, 91 & 93; Black Bear 14 & 15. Excellent hunting! Sack
lunches and early breakfasts will be available to hunters during hunting
season. Reservations are required. For more information, please see www.triplepeak.com.
What
do you offer for snowmobiling?
The
Wyoming Range spans the area between Alpine and Kemmerer with approximately
337 miles of designated snowmachine trails. The main trails are groomed
every week and the secondary trails are groomed every other week or as
needed. This area offers deep snow, beautiful scenery and fantastic off-trail
riding on snow depths of from 3 feet to 12 feet. The season is from
late November through May, depending on the location, and elevations range
from 7,000 feet to 10,000 feet. Our rooms are available for nightly rental
to groups or individuals. Advanced reservations are required. Sorry, we
do not take drop ins. Wyoming Range snowmachine trail maps are available
at the Ranch.
What
about shuttle services from the airport?
Salt Lake City airport is 4 hours away. It is often significantly cheaper
to fly into Salt Lake, rent a car, and drive to the Lodge than it is to
fly into Jackson Hole and rent a car or be shuttled. We
offer shuttle services from the Jackson Hole airport to our Lodge for
$100/person round trip. Guests who choose to fly into Salt Lake City will
need to rent a car and drive to the Lodge. Both Pinedale and Big Piney
have general aviation airports for those who have their own planes. We
will pick Guests up at these two local airports by previous arrangement
at no charge.
Do
you accept credit cards?
We accept all major credit cards.
